Sources and attribution
Last updated
The citation attached to a question is the best place to check its answer. This page explains the main kinds of sources we use; it is not a claim that every provider listed supports every game.
NFL data
NFL datasets include nflverse records. We transform and combine those records into game questions, so our wording and scoring are our own. The nflverse-data project is published under CC BY 4.0; its original notices and source documentation remain relevant.
Baseball and structured facts
Structured sports records include the Lahman Baseball Database and Wikidata. Records may be filtered, normalized, or combined for gameplay. Consult the original project for its coverage and reuse terms.
Researched trivia and geography
Research can draw on league, team, event, venue, athlete, and publisher pages. Those pages support a particular fact; they do not endorse AddictingSports. Check each question’s source link for its exact context and date. Sources can change or disappear.
Maps and images
Sports Globe uses Mapbox mapping. Map and image credits belong to their respective providers and creators; displaying an image in a game does not grant permission to reuse it elsewhere. Consult the credits shown with the map or image.
Finding an answer’s source
After completing Daily 10 or Sports Globe, open the question review for available explanations and references. Past Daily 10 answer pages use stored editions. Other formats may show a source alongside the answer.
Missing or incorrect attribution
Send the game link, date, question, and the attribution or rights concern through Contact. We can review a source, amend a credit, or remove affected material. A public webpage is not automatically permission to copy its text or images.
