These terms govern your use of AddictingSports and its games, accounts, memberships, creations, and hosted nights. “AddictingSports,” “we,” and “our” refer to this service and its operator. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Who can use the service
You must be at least 13 to use AddictingSports. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. A purchase must be authorized by someone legally able to enter the agreement and use the payment method.
Accounts and security
Provide an email address you control and keep your login information secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share credentials to bypass plan limits, impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade restrictions. Tell us about suspected unauthorized access through Contact.
Free games and paid memberships
Published games are free to play. Optional Plus and Creator memberships provide the features and allowances shown at purchase. Paid plans renew monthly and charge your authorized payment method until cancelled. Review the price, taxes, discounts, billing interval, and renewal terms before confirming in Stripe. Payment confirmation, not a return page alone, activates paid access.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel future renewals through Account → Manage billing or Switch to Player, and complete Stripe’s confirmation flow. The confirmation shows the effective date. End-of-period cancellation keeps paid access until that date. Refund requests are reviewed case by case with no automatic guarantee; cancellation does not automatically refund a past charge. Applicable statutory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected. Contact us if billing controls are unavailable.
Creation credits
Credits are allowances for generated games, not currency or stored money. Generation reserves one credit per 10 questions, locations, or answers, rounded up; a successful game consumes it, including a game you keep as a draft. Failed or refused jobs release their reservation. Subscription balances roll over up to twice the monthly allowance (Plus: 10; Creator: 60) while subscribed and expire when membership ends. Purchased credits never expire. The free introductory allowance is per account. Subscription credits are used first, followed by introductory and purchased credits. Credits cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash. Plan changes can affect limits without resetting prior usage.
Your games and submissions
You retain any rights you hold in the material you submit. You must have permission to use that material and must not submit private information, infringing content, or unlawful material. You give us permission to store, process, adapt for game formatting, and display your submissions as needed to provide the features you choose. Publishing a game lets us make it available to other players. AI-generated content may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection; we do not promise exclusive ownership of generated material.
Hosting and community conduct
Hosts are responsible for the games they choose, the people they invite, and how they conduct a night. Guests must follow these terms too. Do not use the service for harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, threats, spam, fraud, malicious code, or exposing another person’s private information. Do not manipulate scores, automate abusive traffic, bypass access or credit limits, or interfere with other players. Keep room codes within your intended group.
Review, moderation, and access
Review generated questions before sharing or hosting them. We may remove content or scores, restrict features, or suspend access for abuse, security issues, nonpayment, or violations of these terms. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken. We do not guarantee permanent storage of every draft, room, or game.
Accuracy and availability
Games use sports data, AI assistance, and automated checks, and can contain errors or ambiguous questions. Manually written games can contain mistakes too. Scores, rankings, and projections are entertainment, not betting, financial, or professional advice. We may correct questions or scores and change or withdraw content. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every generation request will succeed.
Our content and third-party material
The site’s software, branding, and original design belong to their respective owners. Access to play does not grant ownership or permission to redistribute the site or third-party material. League, team, athlete, source, image, and map references do not imply endorsement. Third-party services, including Stripe, may have their own terms.
Consumer protections and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee that it will be error-free or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a warranty, refund, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to bring a claim.
Changes and support
We may update the service or these terms and will change the date on this page. Material subscription changes will be communicated before they apply where required by law, and you can cancel future renewals. Use Contact for questions, billing issues, privacy requests, or a concern about content.
